An amazing horseback riding vacation in Romania! You will feel like you have stepped back in time as your equestrian trails are sprinkled with haystacks and horse pulling carts along dirt roads. Romania also offers some of the most unspoiled wilderness on the continent. Storybook perfect quaint villages are nestled at the foot of majestic Carpathian mountain peaks. In addition, you will delight in non-riding tours of the medieval town of Sighisoara, one of the cultural centres of the Transylvanian Saxons, the village of Viscri with its famous 12th century fortified church (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the impressive Piatra Craiului National Park and the wonderful city of Bucharest. You will lodge in comfortable B & B’s with private bathrooms and a 4 **** hotel.   Cheaper than the Czech Republic and Hungary, Romania is attractive just because of its lodging and food price tags. You will experiment the best of traditional Romanian food which includes çiorba (sour soup), mititei (delicious grilled meatballs), plaçinta (sweet or salty flaky desert), and tzuica ou palinca (traditional brandy). Romania is off the usual tourist destination so even the “touristy” places feel relaxed and welcoming. You may never want to this ride to end!   RIDING IN ROMANIA
