Enjoy a horseback riding vacation in Ireland while staying at an iconic castle estate! Castle Leslie is located in County Monaghan, 80 minutes north of Dublin, 60 minutes south of Belfast. Still in the hands of its founding family, it is steeped in history and full of character and charm. You can ride across 21 miles of meandering bridle paths in the undulating Irish countryside dotted with ancient woodlands and glittering lakes. Challenge yourself with a mile all-weather gallop and 300 country jumps. Improve your riding ability with lessons in either the indoor or outdoor riding arena. Those who are riding for the 1st time will gain confidence on The Virtual Horse – Ireland’s first fully sized simulated horse. You will enjoy the best of classic Irish cooking. Castle Leslie Estate source regional and artisan foods and prepare them with imagination and flair. Freshness is their by-word. Their daily-baked bread, scones and homemade preserves are enough to tempt any guest. Lodging room options, based on availability, include the castle, lodge or  private cottage. Non-riding activities include cookery, fishing, spa facilities, hiking. This is the ultimate Irish rural escape!   RIDING IN IRELAND
