    If you are planning to visit Rome, this is a wonderful add-on to your trip. After the bustle of the ancient city, you will welcome the opportunity to relax in the peaceful Tuscia countryside. There is no better way to enjoy the rolling countryside which overlooks impressive volcanic lakes than horseback riding. Your choice during the 2 days are trails,  horseback riding lessons and/or cross country jumping. Then finish your Italian horseback riding adventure by learning the secrets of great Italian cooking and visiting ancient countryside villages.The equestrian resort located in the vast rolling hill countryside of Tuscia, north of Rome offers arena riding, trail riding and fifty natural cross country jumping obstacles. The boutique hotel is located between Lake Bracciano and Martignano and surrounded by the Regional National Park. Cheese is produced on the property. This 19th century 4★ country housel/spa is filled with horsey curios and antiques. Delicious Italian homestyle cooking and regional wines will grace your tables. If you have dreamed of fox hunting, their drag hunt is suitable for first-time hunters. A total Roman experience!

  • Ride Itinerary - A True Roman Experience – Cooking and Countryside Riding

    Pre-ride tour of Rome: You plan your days in the city of Rome.
    5 day package: (up to 7 night, 5 day riding packages available)

    Day 1:
    Transfer from airport or Rome to your boutique hotel. After you have settled in your room, you will meet your horse and riding instructor.

    Day 2:
    Transfer from the resort to the ancient Roman village of Mazzano Romano. You will feel transported back in time as the cobbled streets lead you to a lavish garden filled with aromatic spices and homegrown vegetables. Here you will pick what is required for your cooking lesson (even fresh eggs!). Your kitchen is located in a manor home which overlooks a thick forest and bubbling river. After donning an apron, you will learn the secrets of traditional Italian cooking from appetizer to dessert. In addition, the chef will offer his tips on presenting each dish in a savory manner. After you enjoy your personally prepared dishes with the best regional wines, you will visit the artist colony of Calcata. A haven for the 70’s hippies, the homes are closely knit together giving the appearance of a castle when you approach it. Next, you will be transferred to Monte Gelato to be captivated by the numerous waterfalls, thin bridges and old mill. This was the location for many movies and makes a perfect ending to your unforgettable Roman adventure!

    Day 3-4:
    Ride morning and afternoon with either lessons in the arena, trail riding across the estate or cross country jumping.

    Day 5:
    Transfer to your airport for your departure home.
