    • Horsemanship Holidays

Here you will learn that horsemanship is a direction not a command. Situated near the beautiful coastal town of Conil de la Frontera, Cadíz, this “School of Compassionate Dressage” is located.  You will experience in-depth training of the classical dressage principles combined with a gentle non-pressure approach. Whether you are a beginner or advanced rider, you will achieve a deeper level of understanding found from a greater awareness of the simple basics. Common sense is more important than learned techniques when opening the full potential of your horse. There is no system, no trickery, no technique just lessons in what pure balance is. How to feel it, how to see it, how to breathe it. You will come to understand what true balance is and how critical it is in the riding life of your horse. Once you realize what it is, everything starts to fall into place. Your equine partner is the famous PRE Andalusian whose strength, agility, beauty, pride, and docility makes a popular dressage choice. Non-riding activity includes a classical riding show at the Royal Spanish Riding School in Jerez. You can customize this ride as to the number of daily lessons and riding days.  RIDING IN SPAIN

“There are many reasons to fly from New York to Spain to ride with Sarah-Jane. The food, the weather, the scenic hill towns such as Vejer, meeting gorgeous horses etc, but for me, it is the knowledge that I will return home a better rider. S-J’s careful eye and focus on the connection between horse and rider is particularly constructive on the sensitive and responsive Iberian horses.” G.P., USA.
