  • Ride Overview - Great Hungarian Plains Ride
    • Flatlands
    • Premier Lodging
    • Stationary

One of the best European horseback riding vacations is in Hungary!  There are no fences or tarmac to hinder your route and the sandy roads appear endless. The flatness of the land begs for invigorating gallops along abundant peach orchards, fields of corn and sunflowers. Cool down your Hungarian warmblood horse in shady acacia forests home to native deer and boar. Your guide has a deep knowledge of not only your dynamic trails but also the colorful characters of Hungarian past. Evenings are filled with warm Hungarian hospitality and robust traditional cuisine – paprika seasoned goulashes, home-cured hams and local cheeses. You have your choice of lodging either a traditional renovated country house with thick adobe walls, a reed thatch roof and graced with antiques from around Europe or you can go “glamping” by staying in an award winning luxury yurt which is fully insulated, private sunbed furnished terrace with panorama view, individual entrance, split levels gallery with King sized bed, seating area, air-condition, heating, Minibar with complimentary champagne + fruit basket, coffee and tea complimentary, kettle, safety deposit box, desk, reading light, free Wi-Fi internet, TV, stone floors, curtains, wardrobe/closet, slippers, whirlpool, rain-shower, double sink, separate WC, hairdryer, free toiletries, magnifying mirror, and bathrobe.  In addition, a variety of enjoyable non-riding cultural events can be added.

“It was one of the best riding holidays ever. Oliver is a superb host and guide. His horses are wonderful.” G.S. U.K.
