  • Ride Overview - Heart of Texas
    • Rolling Countryside
    • Stationary

A delightful horseback riding vacation in Texas! The region is considered the “Switzerland of Texas”, rich with rolling hills and turquoise rivers covered by cypress.  This is the cowboy capital where herds of cattle were driven along the Great Western Trail.  In addition, horses are most welcome in town so you can ride right up to your restaurant! You will stay in the 3 bedroom house surrounded by nature, horses, oak-trees and a creek. The house is fully equipped including a bbq/smoker outside for those who really want to do the Texas “thang.” This is not a “nose to tail” ride rather your trails will be customized to your riding ability. During your ride, your trails will take you to two of the most gorgeous riding areas in the Texas Hill Country – the  5.300 riding acres of the Hill Country State Natural Area and the free range riding on a 500 acre private ranch in Medina. As a special treat, you can ride from the ranch all the way into town to attend the town’s most popular weekly event, Steak Night.

“Friendly people with well-tempered horses. Thank you for the enjoyable ride, and thank you for not having the typical trail-mannered horses. They had personality and went focused on a single-file line.”
