    • Inn to Inn
    • Rugged Coasts and Mountains

A relaxing horseback riding vacation in Scotland! Your equestrian vacation will travel along the peak cradled Great Glen trail where Loch Ness will often be in brilliant view. But even if you don’t spot the loch’s most elusive resident, you will still discover one thing here: exceptional natural beauty. If you long to ride through purple heather and remote glens, to cross rivers and high hills with a breathtaking view in all directions, this is the ride for you!  RIDING IN SCOTLAND

“I want to thank you again for the really nice trek you organized and for the good job you are doing to make people realize their dream. It was such a wonderful experience, you have been so friendly, Annie was super, a real gentle and comfortable companion during these few days. Food and accommodation was perfect, weather conditions, as usual in Scotland, warm and sunny!! You made me discover so many different countrysides, people, animals, food, way of living in such a few days, it’s as if it happened so quickly, as a dream but at the same time, we had plenty of time to appreciate the superb surroundings, feel the atmosphere, imagine in rude conditions, people in the past…. a real breath, just to feel real life, really. Back to reality needs some time after that!” Veronique

    Day 1:
You will transfer by either bus or train to Fort William. You will be met by the guide at your Fort William hotel, bus or train station between 8:30 – 9:00 A.M. Depending on the river’s tide, you will either ride through the fragrant Leanachan forest nestled below the Aonoch More Ski Slopes to Fort William shadowed by Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK then crossing the river finishing beside Neptunes Staircase which is a staircase lock comprising eight locks on the Caledonian Canal, the longest lock in the U.K. OR If the river is high, your ride will trace the Caledonian Canal to a forest trail at Glen Loy, a tract of ancient, hidden oak woodland. Here you will have a good chance to see wildflowers and wildlife before rejoining the canal to finish beside Neptunes Staircase. You will spend the night at Dores located at the head of Loch Ness.

    Day 2:
Ancient hill tracks will lead you through the pungent woods to the town of Invergarry where the River Garry flows into Loch Oichon. Your trail will trace the shores of Loch Oich and Loch Lochy through the freshwater hamlet of Gairlochy to your inn in the picturesque village of Spean Bridge.

    Day 3:
Narrow roads and forest tracks are surrounded by stunning views of the Great Glen from the Suidhe Chuimein hill. Your ride then descends to Fort Augustus where the Caledonian Canal resides. Next, you are off to wooded hillside village of Auchterawe where your ride will spend the night.

    Day 4:
