Meanwhile your traveling companion enjoys four days casting a fly into world-renowned crystal-clear waters for rainbows and browns. The region also provides incredible riding trails along crystal clear mountain streams which tumbles through towering beech tree forests and native ferns. In addition, you will ride across open alpine meadows of wild grasses. Expect to hear the song of native birds, see spectacular scenery, a variety of deer species, native birds and a combination of temperate and sub-alpine flora. The trails and the terrain are suitable for walking, trotting and cantering, even an exhilarating gallop over the rolling hills! The property was a favored fishing and hunting ground for ancient Maori tribes. Your lodging is a 5**** hunting lodge renown for outstanding traditional cuisine.
