Ride Overview - Sardinia Isle Horseback Ride
A relaxing horseback riding vacation in Sardinia! Situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, Sardinia is surrounded by emerald waters, characteristic coves and beaches of snow-white sand. The interior is mainly a low-level mountainous region with a vast and charming, yet bittersweet, natural environment. In fact, the presence of man does not seem to affect this territory. The great surfaces still preserve their natural composition, luxuriant woods, small desert areas and marshes inhabited by deer, wild horses and rapacious birds.
The country hotel is found in the heart of Sardinia. The Abbasanta area is a central point for Montiferru, Marghine and Barigadu. Your hosts contend that the area is a refined piece of cloth, in which the history and traditions which have been woven into the area are still alive today. The sun kissed land is among rocks, water, wind, olives, and oaks. The island is rich with ancient places of worship. Nuraghi sacred wells, ceremonial and ancient healing places are dedicated to the worship of the water god, S’ Abba Santa. Your lodging room is nestled in a park of age-old oak trees and surrounded paddocks with horses roaming free. The landscape is characterized by pastures that are enclosed by stone walls that surround the tancas built in the 18th century.
The riding packages allow a tailor-made riding holiday for every rider, from the absolute beginner to the most experienced one, trail riding or lessons. In addition, a special Endurance Riding program is available. This itinerary includes how to train a horse for endurance competition, and what strategy to use to have the optimum velocity in different types of landscape. The riders will be trained and supervised by an experienced veterinarian. The rides are done close to the sea, where the flat ground allows a lot of trotting and cantering. It includes sandy beaches, pinewoods, dunes, rocky coastline and salty lakes. RIDING IN ITALY
